As you know, I’ve very intentionally made this Substack about producing and sharing content for two reasons: 1) I enjoy writing and find this to be a very helpful platform for testing and debuting new (sometimes misguided) writing efforts, and 2) I want to share my musings with you all in order to hear the extent to which they resonate with your personal experience, values, and/or considerations. This latter point is greatly facilitated by both the quality and quantity of you, my subscribers. While your quality is certainly not in doubt - you’ve all been so engaged and encouraging these past nine months! - I would love to expand the quantity of my subscribers.
That’s where you come in.
This week, instead of my typical post, I’m making a humble request: rather than paying to subscribe as with most Substack pages, I would instead ask for you to share my Substack with a person or two who you think may enjoy these ramblings. That’s it. That’s the request. If you have a friend who likes to read things that prompt pushback or critical disagreement, or if you have a family member in need of a (hopefully) pleasant distraction, or if you know a coworker who is looking for a 3–5-minute weekly read on something remarkably random, then click the link below to share with them.
I do hope this request does not smell in any way like ingratitude. Again, so many of you have sent me email responses, posted comments, or messaged me on Instagram whenever a post has encouraged or puzzled you. You’ve always been respectful, and for that, I am truly grateful. But now, let’s grow this community of curious, kind folk (Can I call you mundanity-ites? OK fine, I won’t.)!
Oh, and of course, if you haven’t already subscribed, please click that subscribe button below.
Again, thank you for your engagement thus far. Here’s to many more months with many more of you.
