Why am I even here?

There are two main reasons I started this Substack: 1) I want to share my writing with a broader audience. As you will see when you explore my page, I am working on a range of genres. From non-fiction reflections on the meaning of life to excerpts from my unpublished novels to a series of parables, this platform allows me to write, experiment, and improve my writing, and that’s where the second reason comes in. 2) I want to hear from you. While I intend to write as long as I’m able, I would like my (sub)creations to resonate. I can’t know if they do unless I hear from you. Substack allows many different ways to hear your insights. So, if I may be so bold, I would like to expand my ask beyond merely subscribing: please share your feedback with me. It is invaluable, because your perspective is unique. I want to hear it.

Why subscribe?

Well first of all, it’s free. Let’s be honest, for better or worse, we live in a capitalist society, so articulating the value of subscription seems important. However, I’m also hopeful that you will enjoy the content. Oh, and I won’t spam you. I promise. I try to send out new content weekly, though the frequency may change slightly. So, the real question is, why not subscribe?

Subscribe to more than mundanity

I want to tell stories that encourage us all to see that life is more than mundanity. Subscribe to read my unpublished work (novels and obscurities) in short installments.

The world is full of tales that should be told, both of the tragic and the exultant. I hope to tell some of those stories here.
